The sandy track leads downward through low coastal scrub, warm underfoot and edged with hardy shrubs shaped by wind and salt. The air carries the familiar mix of seaweed, brine, and sun warmed bush. A light breeze moves steadily across the path, bringing with it the distant rhythm of waves meeting shore.

The sound grows clearer as the track opens out. The scent of the ocean settles heavier in the air. Light reflects off water just beyond the rise, steady and bright.

The bay sits in a wide curve of sand, water shifting from soft turquoise in the shallows to deeper blue further out. Granite rests along the shoreline, and the swell rolls in long, even lines, constant and measured.

This artwork is executed in acrylic on loose canvas and is supplied unstretched and unframed. As this is a smaller work, stretching over wooden stretcher bars is possible but not recommended due to the limited blank edge allowance and potential image loss. For display, it may be mounted onto a rigid acid free board for a flat, contemporary finish, or presented within a floater frame for a subtle floating effect.
