A luminous moon hangs low over still water, its light stretching in a quiet path across the surface. Deep blues gather and fold inward, circling the glow in slow, rhythmic movement. The water feels calm yet alive, layered with shifting tone and soft reflection.

Two small figures stand near the edge of that light, simple and almost dreamlike against the vastness around them. The scene feels suspended somewhere between memory and imagination, where sound is softened and time slows to a gentle drift.

Fantasy Fishing explores that space between reality and feeling, where the landscape becomes less about place and more about mood. The movement of colour carries the story, drawing the eye inward toward the quiet centre of light.

This was painted on a larger canvas and has ended up on a wall you see the moment you walk into the house.

I had a lot of fun with this piece. It’s a bit more abstract than what I usually do, but I enjoyed building up the blues and creating that movement around the light. The figures are simple, almost secondary to the feeling of the water and the glow.

It’s pretty special knowing it’s the first thing people see when they step inside.
