Shallow channels of water lie scattered across the flats, reflecting light in quiet fragments. Beyond them, the sea shifts from sandy shallows to clear turquoise, its steady rhythm rolling toward shore. The sound is constant but unhurried, a soft pulse beneath the open sky. Small finches flicker through the trees, their calls quick and bright against the wider hush of the coast.

Roots grip the edge of land where tide and earth meet, holding fast through heat, wind, and shifting water. The air tastes of salt. The light is strong. The breeze lifts and settles again.

This artwork is executed in gouache on loose canvas and is supplied unstretched and unframed. As this is a smaller work, stretching over wooden stretcher bars is possible but not recommended due to the limited blank edge allowance and potential image loss. For display, it may be mounted onto a rigid acid free board for a flat, contemporary finish, or presented within a floater frame for a subtle floating effect.
