Beringbooding Rock Pool

$860.00

Beringbooding Rock sits dark against the Wheatbelt sky, its granite cut with reds and deep charcoal seams. Underfoot the surface is firm and warm, the scale of it felt more than measured on the walk across the broad rise above the surrounding farmland near Mukinbudin.

The pool does not reveal itself at once. Only upon rounding the shoulder of stone does the green water appear, held in place by a low curved wall built into the granite. It is not large and it is not for swimming. On a hot day the cool water against your feet is enough. Stone, heat, and a quiet basin gathered where the rock allows it.
